Holy cow! Did you read that title? Name your own price session? Have I lost my mind? The answer is NO!

 I believe everyone should have amazing photos of themselves and loved ones to hang on their walls of the homes and to give out to family. I believe that future generations will want to have actual prints of family that has came before them to show to the family that will be after them. Show where your roots are.

 Most people now days view photos as something you take with your phone, share on some kind of social media site and that is the end of the photo. What ever happened to having prints? What is on your walls at home? What happen to showing where you came from?

 Which is where I step in. When you come to me for your photos, you don't get some time in front of a camera and on your way.... you get an experience. You have a few hours out of your very busy lives (yes I know how busy one can be) to have a few hours of a fun adventure, something creative and relaxing by the end of the time with me.

 Being a photographer in Lodi, California, there is a lot of other photographers out there. Its hard to pick just one. I have asked past clients and just people in general, why haven't you had some recent photos done? The answers may not surprise you, as some did not for me. Such as, "I just don't have the time"... "I don't know where to go."... "I haven't even thought about having some done". However, do you know what the number one answer was?

MONEY.

So this idea came about. I had been playing with this idea for a while, then recently was watching another photographer talk, and she had done something like this and I was thinking, hey... lets try it!

So this fall I am offering up 10 spots (may offer more, but we'll see. No promises) for a portrait session. Examples of portrait sessions would be, Families, couples, kids, babies, high school seniors, maternity and just individuals.

It is so simple to get your spot. Just send me an email saying what kind of shoot you want, the type of style of shoot and what you are willing to pay. I am asking for a minim of $100 so that I can make sure to cover the cost of my bills (after all, I do have to pay bills with the shoots, and hey... I'd like to make a few dollars too if you don't mind! :) ) No reasonable offer will be refused. My normal price for these types of shoots are $300 and include 2 hours of on location shooting (we will figure out  the location based off of the style and type of session you wish for) within 50 miles of Lodi, California.

Some guidelines to follow:

1. 10 slots starting now until Dec. 1st, 2014. again, please get your emails in quickly, as I figure they will fill up fast! No promises on opening up any more slots!

2. Session will be shot Thurs to Sundays at any of the following times: 9 am, 10 am or 4 pm, 5 pm for 2 hours.

3. I offer albums, prints and digital packages. I also accept all major credit cards and cash.

4. Any location that is picked that requires a charge to get in or to park will be paid for buy the client.

5. I promise you a awesome and memorable experience.

Prints/Products are available for purchase, not included in the session fee.

Jordan is a Senior at Galt High School and will be graduating this summer. We had a blast this past fall doing his shoot. He has a lot of different interests that we manage to capture all on camera. He is a basketball player, practice teakwondo, into air soft guns, and his car. Lots of things that always keeps him active during his High School years. He was my rep for Galt High School.

Father/Daughter | Family Poses | Lodi, Ca

I always go to my family first when testing out new poses, lighting or locations. This time I was asked to do 3 poses in the same location. Perfect for a Father/Daughter shoot. My models here were my husband and daughter. Some think family is easiest to work with. I, however, think that my clients are easier. Clients don't whine or say, why do I do this? Where is, my family does.

But we ended up having a great time and the pictures turned out really well.

The landscape one I have printed at a 11x14. It is one of my favorite of the day. The other one, the sassy one, was because I told them to be posed like this. Reminder for, in a few years, when she thinks she knows everything and Dad will always be back there, saying nope!

Miss Hayden | Baby Session | Lodi, CA

In the world of photography there is all kinds of sessions. So far I have yet to find one that I don't like doing. Babies are sooooo much fun to work with, and Miss Hayden did not disappoint. She is about 8 months old in the photos, but looks so much younger. Mom was an awesome helper on getting her to smile at the camera.

Galvan Wedding | Modesto, CA

Weddings are one of my favorite things to shoot. There is so much that goes into a wedding and seeing it all put together on the wedding day is amazing. Victoria came to me to shoot her wedding back in April of 2013. As the months and weeks went past, I was more and more excited to shoot this wedding. Victoria and her husband were like part of the family. So when I got there that morning, I just jumped in and helped where ever needed. Their wedding went off beautifully. Victoria made such a stunning bride.

They had some of the best colors, shades of purple, that just popped out against all the green and white background.  Congratulations Mr & Mrs. Galvan!!!

Ashley | Model makeover | Lodi, California

Ashley was such a fun client to work with. She won a contest at a local hair salon, Luscious Salon, for a make over. I paired up with Luscious Salon to do the photos for the girls that won. Anyways, Ashley is a hard working mom of 4 boys, and at the time was engaged (she has now sense been married). I had a lot of fun getting to know her and working with her to get the right images, and making sure she was very comfortable with all the poses we did. All of the shots were done in and around Lodi, CA.

And yes, I even threw in a mini-session for their engagement as well. Congrats Ashley!!

It's a new year and officially been at this for a year now. My blogging side is not going so great because the business side is very busy. But I'm now getting on track for a scheduling out my time during the week. So more sessions will be up, advice, FAQ and more.
